The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
Hola, it’s Rachel Turner! I am 11 years old, and you know what that means… I’ve got a major sweet tooth! When I’m up in Keystone, Colorado, my favorite part is going to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The Chocolate Factory is located at the Keystone, Colorado Lake. They’ve got everything! It’s like a little kid’s dream land, or at least my dream land. With chocolate and gummies. Don’t forget the wonderful, delectable truffles, caramel apples, and chocolate covered pretzels.
For in the winter just think about it, think about it, think about it, think about it…
It’s a cold day after shredding down the Keystone, Colorado slopes all day, Jack Frost grasping your nose and toes all day. All you can think about is getting warm. On your way back from the slope you stop by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. You order a sizzling cup of hot chocolate. As you sip at the tasty liquid, you feel the warmth spread from your throat down to your toes. Or…
You just spent three hours ice skating with your family on Keystone Lake. The wind has been carrying you leisurely across the ice the whole time. Your nose is cherry red and your cheeks the same. You take a stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory before you leave. You purchase a toasty cup of apple cider. As you sip down the caramel colored liquid, you feel your face warming and nose returning to its normal shade.
As you can see, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a great stop for winter, but is wonderful for summer, too. They have my personal favorite… Root Beer Floats!!!!!! In my opinion those are the best summer treats ever! And of course they have ice cream, to cool you off on those hot summer days. The chocolate there is a must to get. It is just amazingly yummy in the tummy. Oh yeah and they have these gumballs with little animals built around it. They are so cute! The gumball is usually the stomach, but you never know.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is an amazing place to stop and get a drink or snack. The way that you get there from our Keystone, Colorado rental house is you take the bike path (turn left on the end of Appaloosa and walk toward the stables) then you take the bike path all the way to the Keystone, Colorado Lake. The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is located amongst the shops. I strongly recommend this hot spot.
